Reiterating the failure of the media

I wrote briefly two days ago about my frustration with the sensationalism which infuses so much of the media, all edgy headlines and no distance and objectivity. Tonight's election results in NH would suggest that the 'all hyperbole all the time' approach does no service to anyone. Where is Walter Cronkite when we need him?
