Who says this won't work?
I'm reading my Google headlines tonight. Iran, they say, is agreeing to the nuclear fuel shipping proposal which was laid out as a way to support Tehran's legitimate aspirations for nuclear power while being transparent to the international community's concern about weapons. I'm sure the jockeying for position and value isn't over, but that's a positive sign that the Obama approach is bearing some fruit. And the news says the Detroit Christmas bomber is cooperating with authorities in providing information---without being waterboarded! That too is an indication that the Obama approach isn't failing.
I heard the president today talking about some of his challenges in moving a health care agenda forward. Strangely, he didn't sound eloquent or high and mighty. He sounded like a frustrated guy who wants his intentions to be taken seriously and is frustrated that no one else in the room is willing to act genuinely. I kinda like that.
