Two wonderful and hopeful science stories

I love having the SA widget on my Google page. I constantly read science articles that I wouldn't have run across otherwise. Often they are serious or even frightening. The link below, though, covers two stories about young students whose observations, thoughtfulness, and curiousity have led to wonderful possibilities in solving problems that face our culture. Makes me happy, and I pass it on in that spirit.
