Putting the lie to an old saw...

I'm working from home this morning, one of the blessings or curses of our modern age. My opinion on the subject depends on the day of the week. This particular day I'm waiting for a service person to arrive. The service company called me to schedule and we set the time for "between 9am and 11am". Common wisdom would have it that the person would show up at 10:55 but I'm happy to report that Ernest arrived promptly at 9:15 and cheerfully began installing our new dishwasher. So today being able to work from home is a definite plus: things accomplished at both ends of my universe at the same time. I'm lucky I guess that I'm primarily an information worker. Ernest, my installer, wouldn't be able to work from home at all.
