Further on creeping typos...

I am becoming slightly paranoid.  The frequency with which wrongly used words and their evil cousins are creeping into print and online media seems to have accelerated with a rush in the past six months.  It's as if all over America editors threw their stylebooks out the window and said 'have at it' to phalanxes of monkeys with word processors.  Well, no, it's not that bad.   But it is bad.   Is it related to my own declining ability to type the correct word instead of its homonym into a sentence?  Or similar stumbles?    I don't know but the phenomenon is strange.   Is this how zombieism is first manifest?
